Braking

ABS is a good safety feature but some vehicle owners find reasons to disable them or remove them. This has some disadvantages like increased braking distance, reduced tire life and vehicle skidding.

Antilock braking system reduces the possibility of the brake locking up during braking. It provides good steering control during braking.

It also provides good braking on any kind of surface and it prevents vehicle skidding during braking.

One advantage of ABS is reduction in braking distance on slippery and wer surfaces. This also improves safety.

A car that shakes when brake is applied can be caused by issues with suspension bushes, alignment, hub, tire, brake disc and so on.

Have you noticed that whenever you apply brakes, your car begins to vibrate? This can happen due to diverse reasons.

It is very common for some people to assume that car vibration when braking is a sign of bad brake disc but that is only one out of many possible causes.

THESE ARE SOME POSSIBLE REASONS WHY CAR SHAKES DURING BRAKING:

1. Bad tires can cause vibration while braking. Tire should always be physically inspected.

2. Wrong installation of brake pads. Brake pads should be properly bedded during installation.

On motion, when brake is applied and engine turning off is due to a variety of faults ranging from engine to transmission faults.

Are you in dilemma of what is wrong with your car because your car works well at high or steady speeds but when you approach a stop, the engine switches off.

LISTED BELOW ARE CAUSES OF THE CAR SHUT DOWN DURING BRAKING:

1. Dirty/faulty throttle body

A throttle valve that is sticking or has broken gears can cause this car to go off while approaching a stop. Carb cleaner can be used to remove dirts or carbon from the throttle body. If the throttle body is faulty, it should be replaced.
